Kathryn Anne Lee

Kathryn Anne Lee age 76 of Park Falls, died on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Seasons of Life Hospice in Woodruff. She was born on April 23, 1941 in Two Harbors, MN and was the daughter of John and Hazel McGregor. Her early life and schooling were in Two Harbors, MN. After high school, she worked for Northwestern Bell in Minneapolis, MN. On January 21, 1961, she married Nels R. Lee in Two Harbors. Kathy worked at St. Croix of Park Falls while the family resided in Fifield during the 70’s and early 80’s. Her most important job was raising her two sons, Dan and Dave. Kathy and Nels spent their retirement years as “Winter Texans” in the Rio Grande Valley. In addition, they spent summers at their home on Lake Namakagon until moving back to Park Falls in 2006. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and recently received her 50-year service award. In addition, she was a member of the Park Falls Congregational Church – UCC. Kathy loved to crochet and was a true craftsperson. She created many cherished gifts for her loved ones. She enjoyed meeting with the local Monday night yarn group and believed one could never have enough yarn in stock! Kathy was also an excellent baker and cook. No one ever left her house hungry. Kathy had an immense love of family and friends. She would often talk about how proud she was of her sons’ and grandchildren's accomplishments. Kathy was always willing to help others in need and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She truly will be missed. She is survived by: Her husband of 56 years Nels R. Lee of Park Falls (2)Sons: Daniel (Marie) Lee of Fifield David (Lori) Lee of Antigo (4)Grandchildren: Rachel, Beth, Matthew, and Benjamin. (2)Brothers: Tom (Carmen) McGregor and Jim (Terri) McGregor Brother and Sister-in-Law: John and Jayne Donner Nieces and Nephews: Linda, Marlys, Jeff, Joe, Mike, Katie, and Emily. And many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack, a son John Michael, and her father and mother-in-law. Memorial Service will be held on Friday May 5, 2017 at 11:00 am at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Park Falls. Rev. Don Quigley officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday May 5, 2017 at 10:00 am until the hour of service at the church. Burial will be held at a later date at the Forest Home Cemetery in Fifield.
