William David "Pretzel" Gwinn

William David “Pretzel” Gwinn age 72, of Glidden, died on Friday April 6, 2018 at his home in Glidden. He was born on October 26, 1945 in Radisson, the son of William B. and Mary Ann (Golob) Gwinn. His early life and schooling were in Glidden. On June 12, 1965 he married Charlotte Loch in Hayward. William was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves and was an over the road truck driver and logger. He was very mechanical and a “jack of all trades”. He was a member of the Glidden Volunteer Fire Department for over 40 years serving two years as Chief. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, watching the Packers and NASCAR, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by: His wife Charlotte of Glidden (2)sons: Rob (Kathryn Weister) Gwinn of Washburn Michael (Faith) Gwinn of Glidden many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren (3)brothers: Francis (Lois) Gwinn of Butternut James Gwinn of Butternut David (Mary) Gwinn of Menomonee Falls (3)sisters: Patricia Gwinn of Park Falls Nancy (Ron) Ziebell of Oshkosh Barbara Hollrith of Fond du Lac and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Christine Gwinn. and his brother-in-law Paul Hollrith. A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 12, 2018 at 11:00am from the Glidden Assembly of God Church. Pastor Brock Brandenburg will officiate. A visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Glidden.
