Rose Marie "Roz" Stein Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rose Marie “Roz” Stein age 85, passed away on July 17, 2022, in Park Falls, WI. She was born on January 30, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John and Mary (Stralkowski) Jarotkiewicz. She was a thoughtful, compassionate, loving person who enjoyed classical music, gardening, cooking, dancing, decorating, reading, and spending time with family. Roz was also a talented artist who loved to paint. She travelled the world and never lost her curiosity to learn something new. She was a skilled musky angler winning 1st prize in two “Boobs & Weenies” Tournaments. Roz had a fabulous sense of humor and was often the life of the party. Everyone was welcome in her home (with a smooch and a hug) and she devoted her time and attention to ensuring your plate was full and your glass was never empty. Roz is survived by her husband Leonard “Manny” Stein; children: Larry (Asta) Scowra and Denice (Tad) Vrana; stepchildren: Scott (Debbie) Stein, Wendy (Phil Freeman) Stein, Jeff (Brenda) Stein, Tracey (Dennis) Carden, Randy (Angie Johnson) Stein; grandchildren: Melissa, Sandy, Jill & Ashley and great grandchildren: Savannah, Carter, Jaylin, and Anthony; niece Lisa and nephew Frank. Also surviving are her step-grandchildren and many special friends. Roz was preceded in death by her her parents, her daughter Mary Villarreal and sister Carol Leone. A celebration of life will be held at the Pike Lake Fire Hall on Friday July 29, 2022 at 11:00am. Deacon Chet Ball will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the hour of the service. Private interment will take place at Forest Home Cemetery in Fifield.
