Mary Ann Gwinn age 94, of Butternut, died on Wednesday January 6, 2016 at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls. She was born on November 25, 1921 in Loretta, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Miklovzina) Golob. Her early life and schooling were in Loretta. On March 2, 1940 she married William Gwinn. In 1942 the couple moved to Butternut. Mary was a homemaker and dairy farmer. She was the Town of Peeksville Treasurer for over 20 years, enjoyed quilting, spinning, and was an avid gardener. She is survived by: (7) children: Francis (Lois) Gwinn of Butternut Patricia Gwinn of Park Falls William (Charlotte) Gwinn of Glidden Nancy (Ron) Ziebell of Oshkosh Barbara (Paul) Hollrith of Fond du Lac James Gwinn of Butternut David (Mary) Gwinn of Menomonee Falls (9) grandchildren (7) great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William in 1970, her granddaughter Christine Gwinn, her daughter-in-law Patrice Gwinn, and (3) brothers: Joseph, Louis, and Tony Golob. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday January 16, 2016 from 9:00am until 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 16, 2016 at 10:00am at the church. Deacon Robert Schienebeck will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date at Draper Cemetery. In lieu of flowers. The family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice The Novitzke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
