Lorraine F. Dane Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Park Falls Lorraine F. Dane age 82, of Park Falls, died on Thursday January 1, 2015 at Park Manor Nursing Home. She was born on February 8, 1932 in Butternut, the daughter of Arthur and Lula (Cravey) Steben. Her early life and schooling were in Butternut where she graduated from Butternut High School. On May 17, 1952 she married Arthur C. Dane in Butternut. The couple lived in Park Falls. Lorraine was a homemaker and very active at Peace Lutheran Church as member of Martha's Circle, the Peace Women, and other groups and activities. She loved animals, especially cats, was very artistic and enjoyed arts, crafts, painting, and drawing. She also enjoyed walking and riding her bike, but she especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by: (2)children: Jackie (Spike) MacGregor of Park Falls Tim (Linda) Dane of Park Falls her son-in-law: Rick Rhodes of Park Falls (8)grandchildren: Billy, Nathan, Ryan, Forest, Mackenzie, Miranda, Marissa, and Melinda (5)great-grandchildren (1)sister: Dorothy (Mert) Hanish of Park Falls (2)brothers: Marvin (Marilyn) Steben of Butternut Bob (Dee) Steben of Iowa and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur in 2000, and her daughter Cheryl Rhodes in 2012. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at 11:00am from Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls. Rev. Dale Heinlein will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service. Interment will take place at Nola Cemetery. The Novitzke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
