Leona Elizabeth Miller Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Leona E. Miller Age 84 of Park Falls, died on Friday September 18, 2015 at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. She was born on March 9, 1931 in Stevens Point. The daughter of Bessie May (Jewell) Busse, and step-daughter of Henry (Blackie) Busse. She grew up and went to school in Stevens Point. She married her husband of 63 years, Robert J Miller Sr on December 13, 1950 in Stevens Point Wisconsin. There she worked as a cook and homemaker and raised 7 children. Her and her husband Robert ran various taverns in the Stevens Point, Plover and Pike Lake Area. In 1977 they moved to the Pike lake Area where they made their home for 38 years. She was active in the community working at the resorts cleaning cabins, waitressing and bartending. She was a lifetime member of The Pikettes, a homemaker group dedicated to charities in the Pike Lake-Fifield Area. She also was an active member of the Northern Wisconsin Decorative Artists, and loved sharing her paintings with her family and friends. She also loved the many cookouts by the lake with family and friends. She enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren and adored her great grandchildren, especially spending time Sharing her love of painting with her great-grandson Scottie Loewe. (13)Great-grandchildren (1)Half Sister:Marylee Werner and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, her husband Robert Miller in 2014. (3)Sons Bruce, Bertrum and Paul, all in infancy . (1)Granddaughter: Andrea . (1) Great-Grandson: Joey. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Novitzke Funeral Home Chapel in Park Falls. Pastor John A. Dietz will officiate. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday September 23, 2015 from 9:00 am until the hour of service. Burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery The Novitzke Funeral Home is assisting the family
