John "Jack" Daniel Steiger

John “Jack” Daniel Steiger Age 87, of Park Falls, died Wednesday September 16, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 19, 1933 in Park Falls the son of Fred and Adeline (Sywulka) Steiger. After graduating high school, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Carroll College. Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy and was an accomplished basketball player playing in both College and the Navy. Carroll college retired his number in recognition of his skills on the court. On December 1, 1962 he married Tussy Hintz. Jack owned and operated Steiger Motors with is father and then owned and operated Steiger’s Camp 4 convenience store and gas station until his retirement. Jack was a member of the Park Falls Country Club and was an avid golfer winning championships and even getting a hole in one. He loved hunting, the outdoors, snow plowing, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by: His wife Tussy of Park Falls (3)daughters: Debby (John) Kelto of Butternut Amy (Scott) Nuest of Kouts, Indiana Jessica (Jim) Navarro of Crown Point, Indiana (6)grandchildren: Nelson, Nina, Jack, LillyBelle, Anna, and Jonathan His sister JoAnn Gehrman of Park Falls And many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant granddaughter Claire. Per Jack’s request, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
