Grant Junior Baker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

(Veteran) Grant J. Baker age 88 was lifted by Heavenly Angels on December 6, 2015 at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls. He was born on July 10, 1927 in Janesville. WI to Clifford and Isabelle (Pickett) Baker – he grew up in Starks – later living in Illinois, California, Oregon and until recently Montana before moving to Park Falls to be near the family. He married to Louise Towne and then Norma Jouslyn – Norma preceded him on April 12, 2012. Grant did his schooling in Pittsville and served in the Army in a supply warehouse. He and Norma loved to square dance and ride their horses. He enjoyed hunting trips in the mountains of Montana and the wilds of Alaska. Grant is survived by his siblings: Walter (Margaret) Baker, Jerry (Kathy) Baker, Gary (Kathy Wilson) Baker” Caroline “Peggy” (Bob) Marquardt, Beverly (John) Hallstrom. Sister-in-law: Mary Baker. His sons: Larry (Katrina), Grant (Fumiko). (5)Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and a special cousin Bud Dampier. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Norma, Sisters: Virginia and Marilyn and brother Charlie. A Memorial Service will take place on December 17, 2015 at 4:00 pm at First Congregational Church in Rhinelander with Reverend Dr. Chris Hucker officiating. A Memorial Service will also take place next spring in Broadus, MT Where he will be laid to rest with his wife Norma. The Novitzke Funeral Home is assisting the Family
