Gloria E. Fleischfresser Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gloria E. Fleischfresser age 92, of Butternut, died on Monday November 27, 2017 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls. She was born on June 12, 1925 in Shanagolden, the daughter of Harry and Olga (Polzine) Swanson. She attended the Shanagolden School and Glidden High School. Gloria earned a Bachelors of Education Degree from Northland College in Ashland. On June 14, 1947 she married Arthur H. Fleischfresser. Gloria was a school teacher at the Shanagolden and Glidden schools for 31 years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Ladies Aid, the Retired Teachers Association, the Red Hatters, and the Eager Beaver Homemakers Club. Gloria enjoyed crafts, snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, and the outdoors. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by: (2)children: Rev. Douglas (Lynn) Fleischfresser of Oshkosh Jolene (Larry Buechner) Powell of Butternut her special “adopted” son: Paul (Candy) Guerrero of Prairieville, LA (7)grandchildren: Kayla (Josh) Jurkovich, Whitney Fleischfresser, Nikolas (Lauren) Fleischfresser, Jonathan (Kimberly) Powell, James (Katie) Powell, and Shelby & Allison Guerrero (2)great-grandsons: Christopher and Matthew Powell her sisters-in-law: Audrey Venz of Butternut Dorothy (Fred) Boness of Milwaukee her brothers-in-law: Norman Fleischfresser of West Bend Robert Fleischfresser of Arizona and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur in 2003, her son Kevin in 1998, her brother Harry Swanson, (3)sisters: Gladys Rast, Lorraine Brooks, and Clara Swanson, and her infant brother Howard Swanson. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 4, 2017 at 11:00am from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Butternut. Rev. John A. Deitz will officiate. Burial will follow at Butternut Union Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 9:00am until the hour of the service.
