Ella Mae Beard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ella Mae Beard age 98, of Park Falls, formerly of Westboro, died on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls. She was born on January 5, 1920 in Tampico, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Hilda (Olsen) Pratt. Her early life and schooling were in Illinois. Ella worked as a welder during WWII doing her part for the war effort. She married Ivan Keith Beard who preceded her in death in 1994. She lived for 30 years in Illinois, for 30 years in Westboro, and for 30 years in California before coming to Park Falls in 2014. She was a school cook and a cook at a nursing home. Ella was a member of the American Legion and VFW auxiliaries, the Westboro Homemakers, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by: (5)children: Beverly (Virgil) Lueth of Spring Valley Bernie (Nancy) Beard of Park Falls Doug (Sharon) Beard of Weslaco, TX Gary (Jeannette) Beard of Hortonville Larry (Machell) Beard of Sullivan, MO (14)grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren (1)sister Martha Plautz of Zebulon, NC and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ivan, and infant son, Kenneth, her granddaughter Carrie Beard, her brother Everett Pratt, and (2)sisters: Alice Blackert and Edna Knight.
