Corey Michael Hughes

July 21, 1987 - July 24, 2016

Corey Michael Hughes age 29, of Park Falls, died as the result of an ATV accident on Sunday July 24, 2016 in Clam Lake. He was born on July 21, 1987 at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, the son of Keith and Deb (Schoch) Hughes. Corey attended school in Park Falls from the third grade through his sophomore year and then moved to Maryland where he graduated from Chopticon High School. In 2012 he moved from Mechanicsville, Maryland to Park Falls. Corey was a CNC operator for IKS Industries in Park Falls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being at Thompson Lake, camping, video games, four wheeling, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. He loved spending time with his daughter, fiance', sister, and helping his grandparents, and being with his family and friends. He is survived by: his fiance' Diondra Esberner of Park Falls his mother Deb Hughes of Park Falls his father Keith (Monica) Hughes of Maryland his daughter Madison Hughes of Lusby Maryland his sister Colleen Hughes of Park Falls his step-brother: Matthew (Cindy) Wagner, currently serving in the USAF in Mississippi his maternal grandparents: Ron & Jan Schoch of Park Falls his paternal grandparents: Brenda & Jim Kronberger of Park Falls his paternal grandmother Diane (the late Michael) Hughes of Park Falls and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Mike Hughes and his uncle Mark Hughes. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday July 29, 2016 at 11:00am from St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Park Falls. Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30am until the hour of the service. Interment will take place at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls
