Colleen Barbara Abbrederis

July 7, 1936 - February 20, 2022

Colleen Barbara Abbrederis age 85, of Park Falls, passed away Sunday February 20th, 2022 peacefully with her family by her side at The Waterford Assisted Living in Park Falls. She was born on July 7, 1936 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Veronica Barker. Colleen was never one to sit still and was always busy doing something: sewing, reading books, puzzles, rearranging and she loved watching wildlife. Through the years she worked at factories where she enjoyed all the friends she made. Her tires were always moving, living in Oak Creek, East Troy, Kennan, South Milwaukee, Mercer, Dorchester, and finally her tires wore out here in Park Falls. She loved all of her grand and great-grandchildren and went to their games and graduations. Colleen loved the races and would go to Lake Geneva, Milwaukee Mile, Slinger, and Hales Corners any chance she had to watch them. Go Barker Racing! Colleen enjoyed traveling to all her great grandchildren sporting events, races, pageants, medical trips, benefits and so much more. She loved going on spur of the moment shopping sprees at midnight. Day or night, if you gave her five minutes she would be ready for a trip. She was always a happy person with a kind word. She was the center of our world. Colleen was an adored and amazing mother. She is survived by her children: Janet Hutto of Terrill, TX, Sherry (Mike) Abbrederis of Stetsonville, Debra (Douglas) Buckett of Park Falls, and John (Shelly) Abbrederis of Mukwonago, her grandchildren: Timothy (Kim) Walker , Kristin (Chris) Hueneke, Melissa (Jeremy) Negri, Patrick (Jen) Preuss, Stormi (Ken) Schmidt, Andy (Lisa) Preuss, Cally (Steve) Tourtillott, Leslie (David) Hutto, Jaclyn Abbrederis, Ashley Hanson, and Jessica Hanson. Great-grandchildren: Olivia, Natalie, Christian, Preston, Landon, Aedeyn, Peyton, Lelyn, Reagan, Owen, Berklee, Grace, Brooke, Jackson, Emily, Deklyn, and Lily. Colleen was also cherished by Steven Hanson of Dorchester, Wendy Jones and Dawn Couillard of Mukwanago, and many more. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Jr. Abbrederis, her daughter Karen, great-granddaughters Paige and Keylee, son-in-laws Troy Hutto and Patrick Preuss, her siblings, nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post 182 -Park Falls WI on Saturday May 21st, 2022 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to her great-grandson LeLyn Schmidt’s “Seeing for LeLyn Trust” at Associated Bank or to the family would be greatly appreciated.
