Bernice Esther Langner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bernice Esther Langner, age 89, of Fifield, WI passed away on Wednesday April 13, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center in Park Falls, WI. She was born on March 22, 1933, in New York Mills, MN. She was the daughter of Louis and Esther (Karjala) Maikke. On January 16, 1954 she was united in marriage to Darvin Langner. Darvin and Bernice made their home in Fifield. Bernice worked as a waitress at the Pal Café and later devoted her time as a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching TV, baking, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Darvin of Fifield, (7)children: Mike (Sandy) Langner of Columbia Heights, MN, Linda Dorn of Burnsville, MN, Jerome (Bobbi) Langner of Andover, MN, Doug (Pam) Langner of Phillips, WI, Ruth Searles of Rhinelander, WI, Nancy Miller of Fayetteville, AR, and Wayne (Sara) Langner of Dwight, IL, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother August (Linda) Maikke of Pueblo, CO, and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her grandsons Brian Kundinger & Dustin Miller, (5) sons-in-law: Daniel Beck, Richard Picl, Edward Miller, Jacob Searles, & Wayne “Zappa” Kundinger, her daughter-in-law Naomi Langner, (4)brothers: John, Raleigh (Philip Roland), Robert, & Stanley, and sisters Rose Marie Bernu and Francis Maikke. A memorial service will be held at Birch Street Funeral Service in Park Falls on Monday April 18, 2022 at 11:00am. Deacon Chet Ball will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery in Fifield. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
