Bernard George Bay Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bernard George Bay age 80, of Glidden, died on Friday February 12, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. He was born on July 30, 1935, the son of George and Annie (Paintner) Bay. His early life and schooling were in Glidden. On October 13, 1962 he married Rosemary Sorel. Bernard was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War and was a bricklayer in Chicago for many years. He was a member of the Glidden VFW and American Legion Posts. Bernard enjoyed feeding his deer and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary of Glidden (2)children: Dan (Monica) Bay of Antioch, IL Colleen (Tony) Randazzo of Chicago, IL (4)grandchildren: Danielle, Jack, Colin, and Claire (1)brother: David Bay of Glidden and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Shirley Bergstrom. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 20, 2016 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Glidden. Fr. Simon Reddy Boyapati will officiate. Military honors under the auspices of the Glidden VFW and American Legion Posts will follow the service. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
