Butternut (veteran) Anthony Peter Furtak Age 87, of Butternut, died on Thursday December 11, 2014at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls. He was born on May 10, 1927 in Butternut, the son of John and Mathilda (Preisner) Furtak. His early life and schooling were in Butternut. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during WWII. On May 29, 1934 he married Marion Rouse. Anthony was a dairy farmer and enjoyed the outdoors, especially his Christmas Tree farm. He enjoyed polka dancing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by: (2)children: Kathy (Dale) Julseth of Stoughton Dan (Kim) Furtak of Butternut (4)grandchildren (3)brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marion, his infant daughter Deborah Rose, and (10) brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 20, 2014 at 10:00am from the Novitzke Funeral Home Chapel in Park Falls. Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Cecelia Cemetery in Butternut. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday from 9:00am until the hour of the service at the funeral home..
