Lorraine Mary Damrow

Lorraine Mary Damrow age 81, of Park Falls, WI passed into eternal life on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Park Manor Nursing Home. She was the eldest daughter born to Charles and Theresa (Bradle) Hilgart on December 8, 1938 in the Town of Eisenstein. Lorraine graduated from Lincoln High School, Park Falls, in 1957. On May 8, 1963 Lorraine and Herb Damrow were married in Bell County, Texas, while stationed at Fort Hood. They were blessed with three sons, Chuck, Kevin and Herb Jr. during their military service. Lorraine held many jobs over the years before becoming owner/operator of the Park Falls Food Mart and D&D Tire and Auto Center prior to her most favorite vocation of being the patient daycare provider of her grandchildren and other children - whom “she loved more”. Lorraine was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and volunteered in many ways over the years. She loved spending time with her family, listening and dancing to polka music. Lorraine was a wonderful cook, sharing her German heritage with the family and friends and was an avid gardener. She is survived by her husband Herb of 56 years, of Park Falls, WI; children: Chuck (Bobbi) and Kevin (Katie) of Park Falls and grandchildren: Cayle Christian of Los Angeles; Riley Elizabeth of Stevens Point; and Kendra (Creed) of Eau Claire; Chealyn of Park Falls; Jaxxon of Park Falls and step-granddaughter Jessica (Zachary) Langner of Eau Claire. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Naveah, Tenley, Ryder and Huxley and step-granddaughters Alaina and Emily. Her brother Alfred (Charlotte) Hilgart, sisters: Delores (Don) Lenz and Barb Schneider all of Park Falls; sisters-in-law: Marion Hilgart, Dorothy Hilgart, Marcella Weimer all of Park Falls; Rose Fowler of Milwaukee, Roseanne Krueger of Phillips, and Margie Williams of Waterloo, IA; brothers-in-law: Ted Damrow of Park Falls; Bill (Karen) Damrow of Racine and Al Krause of Fernley, NV; Some special little people whom she loved dearly and called her Grandma: Michael, Michelle, Maria and Mitchell Hecimovich; Sydney, Morgan, Anna, and Hudson, Hilgart; Grayson, Grant and Frank Kief, and Lyla Beringer as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Herb Jr., brothers: Leonard, Kenneth, Edward, Delmar, Lawrence, Arthur and Norman Hilgart. Special thank you to her kind caregivers at Park Manor Nursing Home and the loving care from her sister-in-law, Marcella Weimer. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday July 11, 2020 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Park Falls at 11:00am. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until the hour of the service at the church. Interment will follow at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.
