Lola Mae Schmidt

Lola Mae Schmidt age 76 of Park Falls, died on Saturday June 25, 2016 at Wausau Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. She was born on March 19, 1940 in Park Falls. The daughter of Earl and Marge (Obernberger) Franke. Her early life and schooling were in Park Falls. On August 1, 1959 she married Len Schmidt in Park Falls. Lola loved her family and friends dearly. She also had a special love for animals and had many pets of various species over her life. She loved to tend to her gardens, pick wild berries, cook, and play with her children, grand kids, nieces, nephews and friends. She was an extraordinary person and wonderful mother who had a profound and lasting impact on anyone she knew. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. (9)Great grandchildren: Arianna, Willis, Michael Jr, Porschia, Maxim, Vladimir, Walter, Sophia, Victor (4)Siblings: Bonnie Kilger, Donald (Vicki) Franke, Sally (Nate) Nez, Susan (Charlie) Chatterton. Brothers-in-law: Bernie (Mona) Schmidt, Kenneth (Eileen) Schmidt, Paul (Debra) Schmidt. Sisters-in-law: Carolyn (Robert) Herbst, Norma (Buddy) Gassett, Nancy (Dennis) Dosch, Christine (Dan) Rand. And many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother and father-in-law: Adeline and Leonard Schmidt, Brother-in-law: Fritz Kilger. Sister-in-law:Jan Schmidt and a nephew Tim Kilger. Memorial service will be held on Saturday July 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Park Falls. Fr. Shaji Pazhukkathara will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday July 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at the church until the hour of serivice. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers.
