Bernard "Ben" Francis Lutterman Jr.

Bernard “Ben” Francis Lutterman Jr. Age 67, of Glidden, died on Saturday September 12, 2020 in Wausau. He was born on July 15, 1953 in Jackson, MN, the son of Bernard Sr. and Ann (McBride) Lutterman. His early life and schooling were in Minnesota. Ben moved to Glidden in 1983 and he married Julie Griffith on March 15, 1996. Ben loved the outdoors; he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. He loved to cook, and he enjoyed growing and preserving his own food. He also enjoyed camping, riding his Harley and he loved traveling to new places. Ben was so proud of the log home he built himself, and one of his favorite places was on his deck watching the birds. His shop was his second home where he created amazing woodworking and carpentry projects. Ben was a social guy who loved being around people or even talking on the phone. His favorite thing was spending time with his family and friends. Ben built his own business, "Ben's Heating and Electric," and he loved working for the people of Glidden and the surrounding areas. He worked as long as his body would let him. He often said, "If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life." He would drop whatever he was doing to respond to calls for help from his customers at any time of day or night. He is survived by: His wife Julie of Glidden (2)daughters: Jennifer (Burt) Schmidt of Alexandria, VA Erin Lutterman of Wausau A stepson: Jeremy Otto of Madison (6)grandchildren: Josh, Cory, Devin, Tyler, & Logan Schmidt, and Aela Lutterman. His siblings: Mike (Shara) Lutterman of Eugene, OR Jacki Lutterman of Alpha, MN Terry (Junalynn) Lutterman of Holualoa, HI Sean Lutterman of Jackson, MN And many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Patrick Lutterman and sister Roberta Kruger. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday September 19, 2020 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Glidden. Fr. Aloysius Anthony will officiate. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until the hour of the service. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Luke’s Catholic Cemetery in Sherburn, MN.
